Our Story

Clinically guided foot care, chosen in clinic

FootAid wasn't created in a boardroom — it was built in clinic.

Every product in the range was used on real patients by Cameron Collins, a New Zealand-registered physiotherapist and podiatrist, before it was ever listed for sale.

If it didn't work in practice, it isn't here.

It started with the bag of things that hadn't worked

Almost every patient who came in with foot pain had already tried to fix it themselves. Most of them arrived with a bag.

Inside it: insoles bought on a size guess, a bunion splint worn all day when it was designed for nights, a gel sleeve two sizes too big, and something for a problem they didn't actually have.

Nothing in that bag was fake. The products weren't the issue. Nobody had told them which one to use, what size to get, or how long to wear it, and after months of buying the wrong things, they'd stopped believing any of it worked.

That gap, between a product that can work and a product used correctly, is what FootAid was built to close.

What earns a place in the range

Products aren't added because a supplier has stock to move.

It has to work in clinic first. Every item here was used on patients in practice before it was listed.

It has to suit a specific problem. A product is stocked for a presentation — a metatarsal pad for forefoot pressure, a toe separator for a particular alignment issue. "Good for feet" isn't a reason to stock something.

It has to be usable without a clinician in the room. If a product only works when someone fits it for you, it doesn't belong in an online range. The instructions have to match how it's actually worn.

Where to start

Foot health matters at every level, and the right starting point depends on what you're dealing with.

  • Heel & forefoot cushioning
  • Recovery & rehab
  • Socks & compression
  • Conditions & treatment

If you're not sure which of those you are, the Orthotic Advisor asks a few questions and narrows it down. It takes a couple of minutes, and there's no obligation at the end of it.

Better feet. Better movement. Better quality of life.

FootAid is clinically guided foot care for New Zealanders — practical, evidence-informed products selected by a clinician who treats these problems every day.
