Collection: Recovery Footwear
Most people think carefully about the shoes they wear to work and barely think at all about what happens to their feet afterwards. Yet the hours spent barefoot on kitchen tiles, or in flat slippers with no support at all, are often when tired feet take the most punishment.
Our recovery footwear range is built for those hours. Cushioned, supportive and easy to slip on, it gives your feet somewhere comfortable to land after a long day rather than leaving them to fend for themselves on hard floors.

Why What You Wear at Home Matters
If you have ever done everything right with your work shoes and still found your feet sore, this is usually the missing piece.
Think about how a typical evening goes. You come home, take off supportive shoes, and spend the next several hours moving about the house on tiles, floorboards or thin carpet with nothing underfoot at all. Cooking, tidying, back and forth to the washing line. It adds up to a considerable number of steps, and every one of them lands on a hard surface with no cushioning and no support.
For feet that are already irritated, this is when much of the damage is done. Plantar fascia pain is the clearest example. The tissue is at its most sensitive first thing in the morning and after periods of rest, which is exactly when most people are padding about barefoot on the hardest floors in the house.
Recovery footwear is not a treatment in itself. What it does is remove several hours of unhelpful loading from every single day. That gives whatever else you are doing, whether that is insoles, cushioning or stretching, a genuine chance to work rather than being undone each evening.
People are often sceptical about this until they try it for a fortnight. It is one of the few changes where the difference tends to be noticed within days.
Choosing the Right Recovery Footwear
-
Recovery Slides and Sandals
Thick cushioned soles with a contoured footbed, designed to slip on and off easily. Ideal straight after exercise or at the end of a working day, and the most popular option for general recovery use.
-
Supportive House Slippers
Enclosed footwear with a proper arch and cushioned sole, made for the hours spent at home. A significant improvement on flat slippers or bare feet, particularly on tiles and wooden floors.
Getting the Most From Recovery Footwear
A few points will help you get real benefit rather than just a comfortable pair of slippers.
Keep them by the door. Recovery footwear only works if you actually put it on, and the deciding factor is nearly always whether it is within reach when you walk in. Leave them where your work shoes come off.
Have a pair upstairs as well. If your worst pain is in the morning, the walk from bed to bathroom is one of the most important journeys of the day. A pair beside the bed means those first steps land on cushioning rather than tiles.
Look for support, not just softness. Very soft footwear with no shape underneath feels lovely for a minute and offers little after that. What helps a tired foot is a contoured footbed that holds the arch while cushioning the heel.
Do not expect them to replace proper shoes. Recovery footwear is for resting and pottering about. It is not built for long walks, exercise or a full day on your feet, and using it that way tends to create new problems.
Replace them when the cushioning flattens. Recovery soles compress with use, and once the footbed has lost its shape you are essentially wearing an ordinary slipper. If your feet stop feeling the difference, the footwear has usually reached the end of its life.
Take the fit seriously. Feet swell through the day, so try recovery footwear on in the evening when your feet are at their largest, which is also when you will most often be wearing it.
